2608.0022ViewReinforcement Learning-Augmented Particle Swarm Optimization with Orthogonal Perturbation Operator for Multi-UAV Path PlanningMulti-unmanned aerial vehicle (Multi-UAV) path planning in complex three-dimensional (3D) environments is a challenging task due to high-dimensional search spaces, multiple constraints, and numerous local optima. To address these issues, this paper proposes a particle swarm optimization-based orthogonal perturbation operator algorithm (OPOPSO). The proposed algorithm, which introduces an orthogonal perturbation operator to break the rigid update pattern of traditional particle swarm optimization, can enhance global exploration and alleviate premature convergence. A dynamic topology reorganization mechanism is designed to establish randomized interaction topologies and select guiding exemplars for each particle, which enhances population diversity. Furthermore, an adaptive parameter control framework based on reinforcement learning is proposed. This framework integrates a Dueling Double Deep Q-Network with a dual reward mechanism to alleviate the sparse reward problem. Experiments are conducted on the CEC2017 benchmark suite, as well as on path planning simulations using real-world digital elevation model (DEM) maps derived from Australian LiDAR data. Experimental results illustrate that OPOPSO achieves competitive performance against 16 advanced optimization algorithms, including seven PSO variants, four differential evolution variants, and five other metaheuristics algorithms, on the benchmark suite, while also maintaining superior solution quality and scalability in complex 3D path planning tasks.

We also give a complete classification of the physical inverse roots in the light-radial regime. A separately specified transverse response sector is built from a conserved coexact current and a positive spectral representation. Within a restricted local microscopic class, the pair response is represented by a conserved vector current of the form used in photoproduction. At the rational parameter point considered here, the exact tree-level radial-angular P-wave amplitude has a finite-energy zero, √s_zero/√s_0 = 1.141899082719035. We state explicitly which results follow from the bulk action and which require a choice of response operators, renormalization prescription, state, or matching convention. The resulting EFT is structurally complete within that specified domain, while its identification with a physical realization and any comparison with data remain independent questions.

2608.0011ViewLatent-Space Planning with JEPA World Models The Role of Action-Sensitivity and True-Position Evaluation in MiniGridWorld models based on Joint-Embedding Predictive Architectures (JEPA) promise sample-efficient, action-conditioned planning by predicting future representations rather than raw observations. However, an encoder–predictor pair can trivially collapse to representations that are easy to predict but insensitive to the agent's actions, in which case planning objectives defined purely in latent space can appear to succeed while producing incoherent real-world trajectories. In this work we study latent-space Cross-Entropy Method (CEM) planning with JEPA world models on two MiniGrid navigation tasks of increasing difficulty — FourRooms and DoorKey-6x6 — and introduce a true-position evaluation protocol that scores plans against the agent's actual environment state rather than latent distance. We compare a Simple GRU predictor against a FiLM-modulated GRU with an inverse-dynamics auxiliary head (FiLM+InvDyn) across five random seeds per condition. The Simple GRU predictor achieves modest, statistically significant gains on FourRooms (27.6% ± 15.3%, p = 0.0224) but fails on the harder DoorKey task (−4.4% ± 59.6%, p = 0.8899). Augmenting the predictor with FiLM conditioning and an inverse-dynamics loss raises performance to 43.4% ± 24.1% (p = 0.0227) on FourRooms and 77.2% ± 14.2% (p = 0.0004) on DoorKey. We trace this gap to an action-sensitivity ratio that improves from 0.11 in a historical, latent-space-evaluated checkpoint to 3.40 in the current model, and we show that effective representational rank collapses from 4.28 to 1.98 (out of 256 dimensions) between the easier and harder task. Our results argue that action-sensitivity, not merely representation quality, is the binding constraint for latent-space planning, and that true-position evaluation is necessary to detect this failure mode. Within this framework, we prove that any cognitive agent who cannot distinguish between these modes of thought (i.e., possesses only a single syntactic domain but assumes that all propositions fall within that domain) necessarily exhibits prejudice (systematic gibberish misclassified as valid judgment) or arrogance (grammatical transgression in asserting what lies beyond its syntactic capacity) with respect to certain universal propositions. This theorem establishes the logical necessity of egalitarian consideration — it is a meta-constraint that prevents the tearing of the cognitive Galois connection.
